  “[Patrick] attended school in Riverside, CA and enlisted in the US Navy in April 1944. He served in the Pacific during WWII on the USS Gallatin and was honorably discharged in June 1946. He married Rosemary C. Welle on 13 September 1947 in Artesia, California. Mr. Diederichs began working for Citizens Bank of Riverside in May 1942. He also worked for Security Pacific National Bank and Bank of America all of Riverside, CA for over 40 years. He was an Assistant Vice President of Bank Operations at the Riverside Main Office and retired in March 1988. After retirement he was an avid bike rider and also completed the Master Gardener program at University of California, Riverside. During his retirement was an active home gardener, hiked in Joshua Tree National Monument and enjoyed fishing in Mexico.” [4]
