- Tom worked on the railroad in Minot, North Dakota. He later worked in Northern California and Washington, where he transported computers by truck from New York to Boeing in Seattle. He also worked in Eastern Washington as a truck driver in road construction. After he and Alice divorced he moved to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho where he met his second wife, Jean. Upon his retirement, they began RV’ing in their motorhome and served as camp hosts in several locations. They found Brookings, Oregon on one of their trips and made their home there from 1997. Tom was a member of the Elks. [1]
