- “[Paul’s] family moved to Houston, Texas in 1927. He graduated from John H. Reagan High School in 1937. He graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 1942 and remained a loyal Texas Ex. He was accepted into medical school at UTMB in Galveston and graduated in 1950. While at UTMB he met his future wife, Ruby Ludwig, and they were married September 6, 1948 in New Braunfels, Texas.
“After his graduation from The University of Texas in 1942 he joined the US Navy and was sent to Midshipman School at Columbia University. He served on the USS Paul Hamilton as a Lieutenant and participated in action in the Pacific Theatre. He maintained life long friendships with members of the Paul Hamilton.
“Upon completion of medical school in Galveston, Paul and Ruby moved to Houston and then Pasadena where he started his practice in family medicine. He treated countless family members in the community including delivering over 1,000 babies. He was one of the original founders of Bayshore Hospital in Pasadena.” [1]
