  “After high school, Lehnis served in the Navy for two years. In 1947 he married Edna Mae Skiles. They moved to Chula Vista in 1954 and on to Murrieta in 2001. As a printer and shop foreman, Lehnis worked for several newspapers and Southwestern Community College, where he retired in 1988. Lehnis loved Jesus Christ and was always active in church. One of his favorite things was music. His singing brought blessings to those who heard him and, most importantly, honor to God. Lehnis was a kind, humble, loving man who enjoyed people and always had many friends.” [2]
