- “Mary Lou was a resident of Texas for 35 years. She worked in the cafeteria at Navarro High School for 14 years, until all her grandchildren graduated, then she retired. She loved to play board and card games. She had a wonderful sense of humor; for example, like sewing Bill’s pant legs closed; she would also switch the labels on all the can goods before his big hunting trip, so he wasn’t sure if he was getting peaches or chili and by putting a green paper towel in place of lettuce on his sandwiches that she made him to take to work.
“She loved to laugh and did it often, she had every bed made (not to say that they were short sheeted), dinner on the table by 5:00 p. m. and the dished were washed every evening.” [2]
